Is Helly Her Outie in Severance Season 2 Episode 1? There Were Some Hints

Severance has always been known to bring about some of the most mind-bending plot twists and it’s impossible that it’s season 2 will not follow the same suit. As a matter of fact, I think that Severance Season 2 episode 1 has already dropped hints for a plot twist coming our way. I feel that Helly is not an innie but she is the outie persona of herself, Helena Eagen, who is the daughter of Lumon’s CEO. So, here are the hints that correspond with this wild claim.

Helly Does Not Seem to Be Herself in Severance Season 2 Episode 1

We see that when Mark once again rebels against Milchick, his old team is brought back. Everyone comes out of the elevator in a state of shock in Severance Season 2 Episode 1 when Helly arrives and Mark hugs her, she is genuinely shocked as if she is not comfortable with it. Later on, when everyone is talking about what they saw in the outie world, Helly lies to the group refraining from the information that she is Helena Eagan, the daughter of Lumon’s CEO.

Other than that, we also see that when Helly sits at her workstation, she fumbles while turning on her PC and seems to be unfamiliar with what she is doing. It seems that when Helley’s innie revealed what Lumon has been doing, her innie persona was turned off and she was sent to the severed floor so that she could act as a mole for everything Mark and the others plan against Lumon.

In the trailer for Severance Season 2 as well, we see video tapings of Mark and Helly kissing which could be a shot of Helly’s outie learning about everything that has happened so far at the MDR department to make sure no one in the team, especially Mark, suspects a thing.

It could be that she has been sent down to make sure that Mark fails at his plan to find out the truth about what happened to Ms. Casey. If this turns out to be true, it will be a massive blow to Mark, his friends, as well as the fans. So, let’s wait and see what happens further, and till then, stay tuned with us for further updates!
